Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Don’t worry, be happy. Octane will continue giving us free RSUs.

Octane is still keeping ESG (Symantec division) even though we are doing pathetically bad. From 1000+ A-list customers down to 40+. Now we are scrambling for mid-sized and small businesses. Don’t believe me? Go and check Intello.

If you compare with us, your division is doing better!

It's a shame that the Babylonian money is worthless and is all going to come crashing down soon. You will need every cent of that to buy an apple. Symantec software is garbage anyway. It's solution to protect against threats is lock down every folder. It literally destroyed production environments. I know because I worked in a lot of your fortune 500 companies doing deployments. The first action where you product was to remove it.

Does this surprise you?
This is the PE game plan.
Squeeze turnip blood from a rock until it no longer produces.
Discard rock.
Find another rock.

The predatory pricing drives customers away, but the because the product was sticky, the process to dwindle the customer roster to a level that doesn't sustain the company takes time. The company is then discarded.
It's a playbook that's been going on for decades.
(And which CA pioneered in the computer industry!)
