GE next up for Kroger’s

Now that the courts have blocked the Kroger’s Albertsons deal, who is next up for Kroger’s to expand. That would be GE.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone did buy GE out. Laura Karet stepped down as CEO, they got rid of their gas stations and were penny pinching store level, etc. trying to make the stores look good on paper for a buyout .

If they are looking at regional grocery store chains with only a couple hundred of locations, I think there are plenty to choose from. Jumping to conclusions about it being GE when there is nothing to back that up, it really isn't necessary. GE wants to invest in new locations and fixing existing ones, assuming the GetGo sale goes through.

There will also be new people in the FTC come January, lord knows what will happen then. They could just decide to drop this altogether. Point is - no one knows anything.
