As Dirty Harry once said, MD is a legend in his own mind..
It was disconcerting how not prepared he sounded.
It's actually quite sad: I remember the days not so long ago when employees looked up to MD and held him in high regard. Alas, he has become a watered-down clown version of his former self. Should've left when he was at his peak to have his legacy outlive him, instead of running it down to the ground now.
What do you expect him to say at this point?

Yup. Keep in mind the last bo-m years was due to a worldwide pandemic to boost sales. A world wide pandemic was needed.

Customers being forced to update their hardware due to Microsoft EOL'ing their OS is not a shining example of Dell selling something that customers want. Relying on a third-party to EOL software to drive sales is a shocking business model.
