Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

BNSF PEAK SEASON LAYOFF INCOMING

The word is starting to go around and the number is around 450-500. Let’s look at the reasons this makes sense in being a valid rumor. First, we’re now in the post election stage and the uncertainty of a DEI led company can get ugly. The successor of Buffet, he’s known to have the pressure on him now and being very involved in the financial numbers game. Is this why Mike Farrell was brought in early this year? Layoffs followed that. Ed Harris brought in just two months ago as a consultant as well. Layoffs to follow? These two names have first hand PSR experience, I mean just google and check the LinkedIn profiles of these two you’ll find comfort, or not. I have some good news for you though! Your life will be better away from BNSF, I’ve been away for some time and it’s been amazing. I’m an outsider looking in just like Ed Harris and Mike Farrel, except I’m here to give you the last warning sign you’ll see. Happy Holidays, enjoy your train calendar!

Shut up and quit fear mongering 😆 can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of furloughs that never came

Meh if it happens it happens, hiring a lot of conductors right now in order to push what is most likely a preliminary push for engineers, contract negotiations failed so most likely will result in either mass furlough of new hires plus extra after new TY&E contract is forced on transportation, or drones will result in old heads being forced out based on bad habits that result in shortages in specific positions. Probably a combination of both.
