A moratorium needs to be in place for at least a few years on approving new h1bs and work based green cards until layoffs subside.

If you think H1B visas are the problem with Intel, you are sadly mistaken. First, ask the person who says that we do not have qualified people in the US what exactly they are looking for, and not one person can tell you. Look at job recs. They are so generic it hurts to read them. Some have been regurgitated for years. Until they can define what the skills are they actually need to fill the job, they wil continue to fill with inexperienced people (having nothing to do with a visa). Like with all things, there are brilliant and there are lazy Indians just like there are brilliant and lazy Americans. You can't blame a group of people for the failure of a CEO or the board (which I suppose is a group of peoplem but, you know what I mean.) To demean an entire race is just not logical, but it hateful and just plain stupid.
Gosh you mo--ns. I work in the factory … find out how many local candidates apply to work in the fabs. It’s not that we want to jump though extra hoops to bring H1bs into the fab.
I don't see any reason we need H1B Visa for foreign workers to come to work at Intel in the US. There are huge Intel sites and China and in India. Almost every team at Intel has employees in other geos working. Send them all back to their county of origin and invest in US education to increase the amount of native born engineers. I am happy that Trump is up next and has plans to limit and remove H1B visas.
America doesn't need India to destroy China. When India fights China they use sticks and stones 🤣. India came crying for US help after this.

Scheming and cheating, stealing IP, having AI write your "own" code, and getting by through dirty game-playing within a caste system isn't what American ingenuity, work ethic, and our country's founding principles are about.
Assimilate and get with the USA way, if you expect to fit in and thrive here.
