Layoffs are coming to all North American plants. I have it on good authority that 18-22% of floor workers will be unemployed after Christmas. Possibly 30% of management will be out the door as well. My source tells me things are tight globally and some plants just can't produce product. Furthermore salaried employees continue to make changes that further hurt production. I wasn't supposed to have read the email but I was glad I did seeing that it affects me as well. 18 years as an employee has taught me a lot , and when you start seeing management kissing more a-s and hounding floor workers you better believe it's about to be some changes. Trump can't save us now.

Instead of paying union wages, they can move operations. That easy
Goodyear Danville is on its second layoff, they informed us about the first one but not the second one. They kept telling us we was safe so we didn’t take the buyout.

No news at Goodyear Danville, but not looking good.
So what happened at the danville plant? Did the employees get any clarification on what will happen?
whats the latest
More then that Danville is cutting mrt.
So was just laid off from Goodyear in Silverdale, WA yesterday.
They can layoff more Akron staff because there is less volume which means the need for less people. I was let go in the summer. They are getting ready to try to sell off Goodyear.
How can they layoff anymore people. Akron is already low in staffing. I guess they will start with the North America plants.
