Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Bad vibes all around

I’ve been with Intel for a while. A veteran, really. Went through many ups and downs, survived countless rounds of layoffs. I can’t remember times when the atmosphere was as bad as it’s been for the past couple of months. People are on the edge. To say that leadership lost all trust and respect is understatement. We need to know what is going to happen, and fast.

Besides, Dave would rather have Vidal Sassoon.

One other point, the products group is clearly a huge failure. They failed on Arrow Lake using TSMC for all chiplets. It's clear the products group and the number of product steppings and costs were dumped on the foundry over decades because they couldn't design chips efficiently with low costs. AMD learned this when they had to design their chips using TSMC'S ecosystem.

You should have bailed out and taken retirement like a lot of us did. This ineptitude grew bad in 2018 and just got worse in the group I worked in.

Product will not survive on its own. Customers have also lost all trust and respect.

Yep. Expect split. MJ and Dave will take product and a new CEO will be found for IFS. It will take YEARS for Intel to build trust back in its brand and leadership.
