Things are finally looking up! It’s been a while since I’ve gotten even a response to any of my job applications, but these last few weeks have changed that. I’m not sure if any of it will lead to something, but at least it’s given my self-confidence and mood a much-needed boost.

I'm in multiple interview threads as well. Dell will get zero notice - job walkoff incoming.
That's terrible. You are supposed to give DELL two weeks notice before you leave!
Why??? DELL does not give 2 week notices to those they let go.... Why should anyone "do the right thing" when there is no reciprocity in return.
@1hgq+1vUAZAUr I’ve never burned bridges in my career. But I don’t particularly care to ever return to Dell.
the decorum of offering an employer two-weeks notice is no longer universally accepted, like most things these days it is situational, but a walk-off will all but ensure the ineligible for rehire box gets checked
@1wmi+1vUAZAUr How much notice did they sales to be in office 5 days a week again, after touting connected workplace for a decade?

This gives me hope because every day I’m more and more ready to get out of here.
Congrats! I've been laid off a few times in my career. The most annoying part is time and time feels extremely slow while you're unemployed. The first few weeks is dreadfully slow because you want to get back to work immediately but you also realize that it takes time for employers to look at your resume.
But things start picking up once you get your first interview. You getting an interview typically means you're one of the last few candidates they are considering.
Best of luck! Hope you can land on your feet soon. I've noticed the job market still rather fragile so you getting interviews is very promising.
UK job market is terribly bad. Laid off in Feb, still didn’t get any interview, even reducing salary expectations and grade. Speaking to friends and former colleagues I can see them on the same boat.
Congrats, and may you be offered something new, fresh, and what works for your situation best, ASAP!
Yup. Market for 2025 is looking more optimistic. It's been craps for the last 2 years.
Notice more uptick and optimism now with the election out of the way.
I have predicted this in previous posts. You will see a surge of boomerang hires by summertime at Dell. I don't know why anyone would want to go back but that will be the upcoming hiring surge.
