Them or me? I do intend to do bare minimum, and I’ll do everything in my power to go out with severance. I will use all the time available to search for another job. The only way they will be able to chase me away is if I find a better option. Given what Citi has been turning into, I figure that wouldn't be all that hard.

@OP great idea ! Most of Citi is in the same boat , doing the very same thing as you plan on doing, aka buying time.
Don't define yourself by your job title or position at work. Citi is a machine that will grind you down to a nub of what you once were IF YOU LET THEM. That's corporate America, even more so under Trump. Shareholder value is the ONLY thing that matters. People are expendable cogs in the grinder. I am getting a lot of quality reading done myself. I've had a stack of books to read next to my bed forever so a few months ago I just decided to take 30 minutes of Citi's time every day and grab a cup of tea and open a book in a nice comfortable chair by the window. All calls go to voicemail and no IM's or emails get opened. So far adding to my quality of life. Depending on how things go in the new year, I may just bump it up by another 30 minutes.
