The TAMs are being targeted simply because they were one of the most expensive teams, second only to sales. However, TK seems to overlook the fact that the TAM team generated significant revenue for the company through cross-selling and upselling. If senior leadership believes the ATS team can effectively cover both sales and TAM responsibilities, they are making a grave mistake.
The decision to shift the ATS role from commission-based to a bonus structure has already caused many ATSs to lose significant income. Combined with HR we-ponizing the employee rating system, it’s only a matter of time before more ATSs start leaving. In fact, several I’ve spoken with said that’s exactly why they’re considering other opportunities.
Now, TK thinks TAMs can fill the ATS role. While it might work temporarily, the reality is that many TAMs are just biding their time until a better opportunity comes along.
And on Dec 3 there were indeed lay offs. We all know there are more redundant positions still left (looking at you TAMs). So January 3rd isn’t a stretch but it could also be the week after. Either way more to come
Yeah. Last time it was Dec 3. Spreading your misery again?
What department are you in?
