Macy's 2025 Rumors?

Hearing some rumors about organizational changes next year as Tony wants to implement role and comp band adjustments based on role responsibilities at the store and corp level using volume and span levels. Is anyone hearing anything and if so, do you have more information? Not looking forward to being displaced or having comp and career options limited based on my current role.

I think Downtown Boston is safe. This store, along with South Shore, are the highest grossing stores in New England.

No answered the question you’re well talking about closing stores, and the poster asked about organizational changes and for different roles

Re: downtown stores. Is Santa Rosa considered a ‘downtown’ store? It’s in a mall that’s downtown. What about Boston? DC? Flushing?

Didn’t hear why the Brooklyn store would be closing. But I did hear about the others and a reliable source confirmed to me earlier this year. Sad but these are the times we live in

I did hear that Center City Philadelphia is going to close. Sad, as it is a really beautiful building.

All downtowns with a Macy’s are closing with the exception of Herald Square and State Street flagships.

Macys San Francisco at around 770,000 sq ft and downtown Brooklyn at 440,000, will both close next year. I wonder if center city Philadelphia is in the cards
