Severance agreement (next steps after signing)

For anyone that received and signed a severance agreement for the most recent round of layoffs: have you received a pdf copy yet or any other documentation or instructions? When I go back into the adobe sign link it just says “this document has already been signed” but I have not received a pdf copy yet. Is this normal?

If you are 40 year or older the "7 day rule" in severance agreements refers to the mandatory period of seven days they have to change their mind and revoke their acceptance of a severance package after signing it, as mandated by the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA); essentially, they have a week to reconsider their decision after signing the agreement. The company can not sign off on it until the 7th day after you sign the agreement.

You were supposed to have downloaded it which was an option before and after you signed it. However I am sure HR can send you a copy. Download anything you get from 2U and save on your personal computer.

Same here. It said I would receive a pdf once the HR person signs it. Guessing since it’s the weekend, that won’t be done until tomorrow at the earliest but hopefully by end of week.
