There's a single reason that DEI and ESG fails epically:
THE VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER.
Ham-fisted changes to existing, successful products and services based on some kind of ideology will always fail. In some cases, the failures are epic: Target, Disney, Budweiser.
63% say they do not plan to buy an electric vehicle based on the latest Pew Research Poll.*
This isn't secret knowledge and it was accessible with a quick internet search.
"If we build it, they will buy it" is a failed mentality, over and over again. There are business studies on this and guess what? General Motors is featured in several of them!
New GM, meet Old GM.

People might think they are clever by arguing against this idea but those people will only see failure. You don't build products that no one wants. And before you bring up Tesla, they make up a tiny fraction of car sales in America, only selling 150k cars in America this year.** The vast majority of cars sold in America are ICE.

Here's the final point. American's attitudes toward EVs are not changing. People aren't adapting or warming up to the idea. Please go back to that Pew article above as a source.
In fact, American's views on EVs are GROWING WORSE!
So, what does the woke establishment do?
More brainwashing is needed. In this article ***, NPR discusses frustration about Americans views and how they might re-educate them! This kind of dismissive, arrogant mentality is why orange guy was brought back in. People are sick of this arrogance.
