I survived layoffs, felt good about it for five seconds, then started realizing that keeping a job here wasn’t a win. I hear all the time from veterans about how good this place once was to work at. I’m beginning to think that they’ve been imagining it. I can’t see any evidence of this sh-tshow ever being a decent workplace. I hope I will not be stuck with Geico for much longer.

Insurance is a terrible industry to have a career these days. Not just GEICO, but all major companies seem to hate their workers guts, and does everything they can to frustrate, irritate, complicate, and drive out.
Its like the industry is purposely self destructing.
I wish claim handlers/underwriters/customer support would just unionize already, maybe then we could stop everyone shipping entry level over seas ect.
