Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

There's an extra layer to these layoffs

We haven't been able to bring in strong candidates for a while now. Talent knows to stay away. As a result, when you get rid of some of the best performers and replace them with new people without proper skills or drive, you are basically dooming the company in the long run.

Read "how the mighty fall" by Jim Collins......this year fits perfectly into the last of the stages he describes.....down to every dot in every i ....... shocking ending.

Makes sense! I guess from now on Cargill- putting its people first will sack its newly acquired talents regularly if targets are not met. (Eg. Every 6 mth after midyear/annual review). Good luck to all of you!
