Thread regarding Synamedia layoffs

I heard it happened again

Been reflecting on how my life has improved over the past 4 years since I quit the Cisco/ShitNaMedia pile of garbage, when a friend reached out to say how disappointing it was to survive another round of layoffs today.

I felt the same way in 2020 as I survived them all. Fortunately I was already looking for another gig and found something right between the bonus payout and the review cycle going into 21.

To not get laidoff there after a while must be like the 10th circle of he-l or something now. Just cruel and unusual punishment.

For those in this boat my heart goes out to you. But you know what you got to do.

As an interested watcher from the sidelines, I sincerely hope 2025 is a successful year for Synamedia

No need for anyone to jump anywhere, 2025 will be the year of Synamedia.

Speaking to people affected, the packages aren't all that impressive. A nice little bonus if you can jump straight into something else, otherwise not all that great.

Dude...so much poison. Even after 4 years you are still releasing it. I'm glad to hear your life improved since you left, but I'm also sure life of those that stayed in Synamedia improved as well due to your departure.

Agree with the OP 100%. My life improved once I bailed in '21 after finding something better. Don't wait for the inevitable unless you feel safe there, which is hard to envision.

If you are not happy/don't believe in the company, don't wait to be fired, start looking for something better and leave in your terms. Is not worth the comp package.
