What was Autonomy even doing that the ordinary SW org couldn't do? Seemed like a hot bed for ex Motional employees tbh.
it's overdue.. re-org every 6 months to move people around and promote a bunch of id--ts who should be held accountable.
To the person whose son was cut in customer service. How long had he been with the company? Did you mean a large number was cut in Ford Credit Customer Service?
When you promote clueless you have clueless running the place.
Considering warranty returns are now handled by Mexico and Brazil, not sure how quality can be improved in the US.
Son just got laid off from Ford customer service. Large numbers apparently
How about fixing the persistent quality issues instead of cutting heads to lower costs? What a concept!
"Our organization is actually adding people, although most (but not all) are contractors. "
This is a misnomer. Don't let this fool you. They are cutting direct people even and then immediately back filling them with contractors or LCC employees. GM does the same thing, it's nothing new. Tone deaf and self defeating maybe....but not new.
Exactly what happened to my team in 2022. And we all got cut.
Good luck to you all
This always results in cuts. How many is hard to say, but obviously expect more. If managers cite a re-org and still tell you there isn't anything to worry about they are puffing smoke.
