A lecture on how to do the same amount of work with a third of people gone from the team. We will all keep pulling, because we want to keep our jobs, even though we've just witnessed a clear demonstration of how easily they can get rid of us at the next opportunity. These layoffs showed us that dedication, effort, and work ethic do not matter at all. As one of the previous posters mentioned, it is better for all of us to start preparing to leave this company on our own terms.

But dont forget, people first!!!!
Kool-aid drinking dipsh-ts...
Far fewer people doing significantly more work. Much of that work for many at the OC involves sitting in a cubicle staring at multiple monitors- mundane work that generates no value. Most employees completely detached from Cargill’s customers.
To top it off- Cargill does NOT pay well. People leave and make much more money doing a similar job elsewhere. Guarantee Cargill will begin rehiring down the road, so if you do apply… absolutely negotiate your salary. Because merit increases, if any, are meager. Bonuses were slashed/eliminated after the COVID years. And the ESOP stock has been miserable for years.
To the person that said "But trust the process!".
That made me laugh. I heard that so many times in the early wave 1 and wave 2 of Tartan (aka SAD fiasco).
Remember how 100% of the company would be on SAP by 2016 or thereabouts. Fast forward to 2024 and they a proud that 58% is on and pretend that its on schedule. The 5 to 7 year implementation will take between 22 and 25 years.
This is typical of the grandiose pipe dreams Page, DMac and now Sikes have. They want to build a legacy by reshaping the company. Page and DMac failed and odds are Sikes will too.
The big problem is that the family is detached from the business and only cares about the dividend check and prestige of the name. They outsourced the leadership to men that only care about lining their pockets and possibly making a change to mark their legacy.
Until the family wakes up and stop trashing those less fortunate than themselves and plundering which McLaren to buy (yes kathy, this is about you), then I see only trouble for cargill.
On the contrary, from discussions I have been a part of, employees are going to be leaving in droves. In fact several who werw not terminated quit last week as a result of their teams collapse. Cargill has proven to be the face of instability and hypocrisy (People First is a joke). Open roles will be a challenge to fill given the public's perception of Cargill employee regard and long term future. It may have been better had they handled this with more care, but instead they opted to shoot themselves in the foot.
Cargill is a dying a slow painful death.....
But trust the process!
I would recommend starting your own company and working for yourself. I always say to people that I’ll never lose my job—how could I? I’m the boss
Look at McDonald’s case against this company and sikes is mentioned . This does show how this company is ethical and why they laid off most experienced people in audit , compliance , and controls …. Open to fraud
And fraud as this company does not care about controls
