Employee survey results for this past year have to be the worst in recent times

“ Not in Optum Tech - results were more positive and increased”

There’s a reason for that…a huge number of those jobs are in India now. I’ve been in tech for a minute now, worked on many projects involving offshore teams. If you’re not familiar with the work culture there…it’s not awesome. They were probably required to take an hour out of their non-optional 16-hour, 7-days a week job to fill out the survey while their high-caste manager stands behind them looking over their shoulder. True story. Not at Optum now, at the Big 4, but it is 100% just like that. 50 people working in an open office with an overseer walking around riding a-s and negging (lots of shame-based admonishment goes on).

That’s why the high scores. You think it’s brutal here? There, you can be at the end of a 12-hour standard workday, get a call from some self-important jackhole at 5 pm on Friday, and guess what? They will tell you all about what your weekend looks like and it’s the first you ever heard of it. And you will do it, or you’ll be replaced immediately.

We did not abolish slavery…we simply outsourced it. Make sure to thank all of our politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Believing that surveys lead to change is more foolish than believing in santa or the easter bunny

My department never shares the results. If they do they say some blanket statement like results were good. They had a big reorganization right before the survey. Apparently so you wouldn’t complain.

Do departments choose not to share the results? Haven’t heard a word from the results.

Low scores are being blamed on the security breach. Couldn't be anything about a record breaking year of profit and not handing out raises.

@fit+1vPihIOA Which illustrates the problem with leadership, they're a bunch of do-nothing dopes who don't belong where they are, and wouldn't be there without riding the coattails of nepotism.

We were told we needed to improve our scores. I told my employees to be honest and wouldn't you know it, direct manager scores were great but senior leadership scores were extremely poor. Now they are wondering why the team was so low and blaming the managers even when the manager indexes were fine.

Optum Tech’s survey results are glowing—how unexpected. Positive outcomes are almost guaranteed when the same “leaders” overseeing the process are conveniently influencing the narrative. A true case study in corporate authenticity and accountability.

Unfortunately nothing will be done about survey feedback, nothing ever has, its just a formality to see who responds and responds negatively to reprimand or fire them, its not anonymous as they say

Everyone I've talked has said their scores are lower.
