Say if you get laid off while you’re on vacation . My place still letting people go and I’ve planned to go on vacation. Would they call you or email you stating your status ? Just assuming if I get let go as they don’t care if you’re a top performer

They dont care about your situation and would lay you off at your own funeral
Waited til after my vacation to ax me.
If you get let go on vacation, Disney will stop the "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" and Fiserv HR will walk you off the ride while all the other guests look at you in disbelief.
It can happen on your day off. Had a friend get the call just as he stepped out of the shower, still wrapped in a towel.
10 years later, I still am proud that he insisted that the purpose of the call was addressed. It was horrible but you want to have a conversation about the situation. No need to call back.
