IT reorg - favoritism wins

In the IDT reorg, leaders straight up lied or told unfounded gossip about people they didn’t like in the panels to dissuade others from hiring qualified candidates. This is verified. How can this be allowed? If you are going to spread lies about a person and destroy their career, at least HR could fact check it. Shell IT has become an awful place to work. At least in the old days ratings and shares came into the picture. I know of so many low performers staying while higher ones are out- all from favoritism. HR should be ashamed

The greatest trick HR ever pulled is convincing people they’re on your side.

New flash - HR is not your friend. We don’t spend money on an entire business line to be your friends. They are there to take actions that reduce company liability. That’s it. That’s how they make more money than they cost. Calling HR is like picking up a loaded g-n without firearm training. Were you discriminated against? Is there evidence you have? Then the cheapest thing to do is give you your job and so the result of the call is in your favor. You claim people talked sm--k about you behind your back? Cheapest thing to do is nothing but expedite you being fired. Know what you’re getting into.
