Forget merit. I just want to get whole on missed cola increases.
Congrats on those that got it. Many years back I got one. When I moved up in the ranks, it was my mission to advocate for those on my team that have been unfairly paid a lot less. It was a great feeling when I was successful.
I also received a salary adjustment on 12/1. It is to ensure Ford pays competitively in the market for that skillset. I thought this was so cool and I am very thankful. I had never heard of a company doing this before, so it was a pleasant surprise. I'm sure I'll be downvoted because I'm saying something positive about Ford, though.
“Dec 1st increases are market adjustments for specific people who were low in their band”.
This is a justification for increasing a salary outside of Ford’s typical timetable. If it isn’t, where is my raise?
Dec 1st increases are market adjustments for specific people who were low in their band. This is after years of complaining from managers who have to use merit budget to fix pay gaps from HR bringing people in at the wrong pay, too high or too low and skewing the team. We were told that this should make merit more fair but I’m sure they will just give us less merit and still leave many unhappy.
Dec 1 raise was not a merit raise. That was an adjustment for those that are low in there salary band compared to similar jobs at competitors.
Some of the posts here are literally a microcosm of Ford. People that don't know what they're talking about throwing around statement as facts.
6% ?!?!?!?
As maury would say, that was a lie!
Nobody in our area got even close to 6% this year. I'm still waiting for the explanation for the lie they told in writing in that email.
@2dpr+1vOqmTum "Merits r never published. Troll."
The merit pool is usually announced company wide in February when they announce the final "bonus" percentage. Last year, the merit pool was 6%.
Merits r never published. Troll.
@2nqu+1vOqmTum - that’s what I heard too. And if you are in your 50s+ it will be around 2.5%
Wait...jb said in one of those meetings prior to rto that badge swipes was not the plan...rto was for collaboration when required in person and not the intent to attend webex meetings in office. Has that changed?
FWIW, I'm in EPMM (enterprise program metrics / management) and have been unofficially told to expect between 2.8 and 4.5%. Less than previous years, but to to the current business climate understandable.
“I just got a merit increase starting Dec 1”
Why Dec 1?
@OP, I’ve heard that everyone should be getting at least 3%. Ask your manager.
Bread and water, hold the bread.
I just got a merit increase starting Dec 1
It was 0.7% lol wtf
If you expect nothing then anything you get will be a win. Expect nothing. Be happy and just continue your work. If you are working for bonuses there's a good chance you are also financially irresponsible as well. Do what matters and don't "need" it. That is how they work you to the bone and take away your sanity.
Unbelievable. The company lost money this yr and you are asking about merit increase. A company is only good as the employee that make it up please remember this. I think ford is going to go bankrupt if they don’t turn things around very soon. Executives need to be held accountable.
Merit what? What are you talking about...
Yes. You’ll get nothing and like it!
OP: Seriously? Focus on your work stop thinking about $hit like this!
Hearing that badge swipe metrics are the primary factor being used for merits among sections. All the other performance stuff is secondary if even considered during mgmt discussions.
