Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Based on a manager's survey, QC should prioritize these layoffs.

QC India should consider laying off Directors, Senior Directors, and Principals to enhance organizational profitability. Currently, they have become a burden. Within the Modem team, there is ongoing rivalry between the upper and lower layers, with many individuals failing to contribute to QC's success.

Immediate action should be taken to terminate Principals and Directors who do not directly drive QC's growth. Based on a manager's survey, QC should prioritize these layoffs.

The roles of Principals and above have shifted, resembling those of real estate agents, entertainment producers, and brokers. It is disheartening to see such a transformation in what was once a technology giant.

As a reference, in 2003 there were a total of 5 principals in the entire old Corporate R&D. Since then, promotions/title inflation has slowly but steadily ruined the Qualcomm structure.

Some PRincipals in Mobile and IOT don’t do anything more than asking obvious questions and sabotaging anyone who feels a threat or are jealous of them

All Snr dir and above have become hurdles to accomplish any thing! They just keep asking status questions and nothing else. If you ask for any help they consider as your incompetence to solve issue! 70% of them should be told bye bye, in CEO language:)

In SD office those senior staffs, principles, dirs, and senior dirs who were promoted by internally promoted vp in last several years should be laid off. Some department once promote an internal vp, then this vp will immediately give benefit to who he or she likes such as promotion, such promoted including vp should let go.

Based on contribution, 30% principal(/manager), director and senior directors should be laid off. Period.
