Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

You are all just disposable numbers to 2U.

There exceptions to the Warn act:
A mass layoff results in fewer than 50 workers losing their jobs at a single employment site;
If 50 to 499 workers lose their jobs and that number is less than 33% of the employer's total, active workforce at a single employment site. So 2U is an exception.

The entire bootcamp team got let go. Bootcamps are no more!

It's almost Christmas and Mudrick needs the money.

Does anyone know how many people were let go? Someone mentioned the Warn Act where they are supposed to give us 60 days notice of mass layoffs.

i'm pretty in the dark but scrolling linkedin it looks like bootcamps got the bulk of it. i also see a few people from admissions were impacted. but if anybody finds out more please share so we can get a better understanding of what actually took place. might help the rest of us guess what will come next

So wait after the new year and have these people be behind on sending out job applications? Statistically January is the best time to apply for jobs. There’s never a good time to be laid off but at least theres severance and you are able to prepare for a robust job opening cycle.

What is the primary color and gender of the ‘leadership’ team?

Why? Because they don’t give a sh*t about you! They couldn’t even have the decency of letting us say goodbye to our team. Was cut off from everything during HR meeting! Not surprised.
