Think of all the sudden business private security services are getting now. Just saying.
General Possibilities...
- Vigilante....who may not stop. If that's the case, they may have ventured over to Hartford to pay a visit to Aetna, etc. I sure hope ALL plans are on high-alert.
- Individual Vendetta -- this is the consensus opinion. Personal/Family tragedy driven.
- Financial Vendetta -- least likely, as most investors still do very well with UNH. Yet logic doesn't apply when someone is cold blooded mu---rous.
- Coordinated Hit-- Was he whistleblowing on Stephen Hemsley maneuvering around ACA and Medicare Advantage? Would he have exposed congress-people?
- Personal Hit -- Scorned lover. Greedy divorce attorney. Angry region CEO who was overlooked for the top job by someone who was never in a region?
ONLY THING WE KNOW FOR CERTAIN IS THIS WAS NOT RANDOM!
Learning that she provided a verbal (vs. written) statement so quickly, and the fact that they were separated provides a lot more perspective. Thanks.
It wasn't even a written statement. It was her speaking to a reporter.
I really hope it is a case of her being a seasoned caregiver and having the polish and emotional intelligence to find a way to put one foot in front of the other.
Her immediate & direct comments to media were a bit surprising. Not through a company spokesperson? And within hours?
I was thinking that too, but thought I was the only one. That her statement on the incident came out so soon. I was thinking either she has really good coping and compartmentalization skills, or she had a sister, cousin, or friend help her write that statement. They might have even completely written it for her and have her sign off on it. That's my guess.
Many comments about the wife. Her immediate & direct comments to media were a bit surprising. Not through a company spokesperson? And within hours?
This is an unspeakable tragedy. No one deserves to lose their life like this. But all possible suspects need to be considered.
Confucius said, do unto others as you would have done unto you. This is a tragic; but maybe smart people learn from it. I don’t care why it happened. This company has pushed profits beyond human comprehension.
Just a guess, but someone thought they got a bad deal? Maybe personal animosity? Someone got fired?
