By my count we’re more at 20% laid off, not 5%. All this because the family got hella rich off of Covid, and all the price fixing schemes that came from it, that were now getting sued for. Can’t make it up.

I'm guessing the 5% is of the total employee count of 160k (8,000 impacted) and I'd assume this isn't including production employees so its probably more like 8,000 out of 30k non production employees (27%). Guessing on the non production employee number.

Cutting so many R&D scientists with decades of institutional knowledge is going to be a big loss. Save money today, and be affected by the loss in the long term. Short sighted.
