Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

Hiring expensive consultants to fire people

So Mckinsey’s big strategy for Cargill is to layoff people…shocker! Do they even have other recommendations? As for Cargill, this leadership has lost all credibility in front of employees.

There is something wrong about this, at least in DT&D they are hiring cheap SAP consultants mainly outsourced, that's the big strategy of our CTO.

Good consultant expertise...to provide more future work for consultants once all our talented expertise is gone! Ugh.

I can provide examples from Europe where the fired DT&D people and hired Accenture people to start new projects. Our CIO told us during a townhall to reduce external consultants. How does this fit together, even in EMEA they layed off lots of PM´s but still have 3rd party PM´s working on projects. This whole lay off story is just to find a quick way to safe money for the short run. Company and leadership is broken !
