Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This was not voluntary

This was anything but voluntary. Can it be that there were finally some consequences for running Intel into the ground? Did the board finally start doing their job?

We got our bailout so now out with Pat to appease the share holders & peons. The big question is how much of the CHIPS money will go to ELT bonuses?

They kept him on until the moment the CHIPS Act check cleared last week. Now Intel can abandon IDM 2.0 and maintain plausible deniability about the scam on the taxpayer it just pulled.

Executives leaves when they have lost whatever battle they were waging.

In this case, at the very least it should lead to substantial layoffs, and the market reaction suggests that Pat was resisting either further reductions and/or selling off product divisions.

So he was pushed out, yet a bit surprising that no credible CEO was already picked.

To leave right after getting the free gov't money/cheese indicates that the company wanted that settled before pushing Pat out.
