Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Grovian style is not really Grovian

Leaders sounding Grovian culture/approach is not going to work. Leaders need to come with their original approach. I am starting to think no leader is truely going to execute the company in the founder's style. There are multiple issues with that (a) today's leaders have not understood what is Grovian style. (b) Problem domain was completely different in founder's time. So, do not try to replicate/mock now those style and expect that to work.

That's the primary reason many big corporates lost their glory times i.e. IBM, Motorola, Sony etc. Once the founder is gone, the next gen leaders have no idea how to sail the ship. So, roughly 40 years after company is founded, the innovation will die out. Hence the company will see the fate like we see now.

Too many fake leaders in Intel in the past 3 years. 90% of so-called leaders are completely disqualified for their work. Wrong people are assigned to leader roles.

FIRE all leaders hired or assigned by Pat, especially those allocated by Ann in TD. Ann got a bunch of political parties into TD. They destroyed many organizations and groups. FIRE ALL in Ann's party.

Grove was willing to look at the business and do what was needed for it to succeed.

Few non-founders are ever willing to do that. The kind of people who get promoted to the top any company (especially a large one) are those with excellent salesmanship.

The skill set that gets them to the executive level makes them competent for perpetuating the existing business and incompetent for radical change. You can see this in action by all the upper mgmt at intel over the past 25 years.

Many times when someone does manage to make it to that level and is capable of discontinuous change, they either quit or are fired because they dare to say that the platform is burning.

It’s no longer 1978. Operation Crush isn’t gonna save us. Grove doing a sign in sheet in the morning isn't gonna help. Calling something an inflection point isn’t compelling.

These people demanding “Grovian Principles” need to move the fu-k on.

Any leader talking about Groveian culture is actually doing a fakery. That means there is no really strategy to move forward.
