Following the announcement from Brain...

did anyone in a leadership position receive an invitation to a podcast meeting about how to talk to people about redundancies? Or is this a set-up? I don't think they would have had the nerve to bring together people who are on the outs in this way?

For the US they hired an external firm (like Clonney in Up in the Air) to manage the communication with the impacted employees.

Yes, I got it. It went to all people managers including some who have already been notified they are out. Doesn't mean you still have a role.
