And they DON’T move you over to something open.
The only ones that do move/rehired, had a referral or used network connections. Yes, those days are gone. At least for CVS/Aetna. You are discarded like trash no matter how well you performed.
The confusion is the numbers is due to RI and CT filing state warnings. 2900 were NOT let go as of the original announcementin October. All 2900 have NOT received notification yet. The dates are staggered. These are mass layoffs.
Someone higher up can eliminate a duplicate role based on realignment and budgets each quarter. Someone can ki-l an initiative or project based on the same budgets.
Anyone in the IT space knows this. No they don't have to move you somewhere else. Those days are over.
Does anyone really know how many have been let go? It seems like a lot more than 2900.
This actually has a link to the list of impacted titles with locations. You can see in advance if you are impacted.

But it is old, not new. I said in a previous post that they staggered the layoffs and some would have end dates in 2025.
Just because someone posts the truth they don’t have to be corporate PR. I actually come to this site looking for new information. Now it’s just become a place to bi--h or post incorrect information.
If you read the article, it explicitly states it’s part of the original.
