That's it. That's all I wanted to say.

If hating it then do a favor for everyone involved (including yourself) by getting a new job elsewhere. Life is too short to keep yourself stuck in a negative head space.
It doesn't help your coworkers either if you can't be all in.
Just do the bare minimum and collect a check. To people who will inevitably whine about my comment above… 3M or any other corporation doesn’t care about you and doesn’t owe you anything. It’s a business transaction in a capitalist society. Earn as much money as you can while doing as little as possible. Better yet employee others for poverty wages to multiple your wealth. No one at your funeral will remember or care what a hard working employee you were.
So what? Then leave. But wait, you won't because it really isn't that bad. The only thing you can control is you. You can't control what managers and executives do. So, find another job and be happy. Complaining only makes you more miserable.
My biggest complaint is that employees are tested like children, not intelligent, capable adults who can be trusted to do the job we've been doing just fine so far.
I’ve witnessed enormous talent depart, or be made redundant, over the past few years. Shocking to see dead weight hanging on year after year pretending to deliver fabricated results. 3M leaders don’t mind since they’re measured against these made up goals. The best have taken their talents elsewhere to be measured and rewarded against meaningful goals. I love hearing from many past employees who are happy outside of 3M and back in a career role they take pride in. What amazes me most is how clueless and misguided 3M leadership is in understanding this loss of talent and the decline in results that should have and could have been so much better in recent years. 3M HR is laughable and rudderless to help steer the ship toward supporting, promoting or even identifying talent.
I left three years ago after working there a very long time and life improved considerably. I have very close friends that are still at 3M, and they share links to this site with me frequently in group chats, which is how I came across this post. Get your resume in order and just start applying or accept it and lean into the foolishness.
I felt the same way starting about seven years ago. My mental and physical health suffered due to the evil leadership in my division. finally, I resigned last year. My life is much better now. It is not worth it to stay for the paycheck. Life is too short.
Good luck with your job search! People should get out of jobs they hate as soon as possible. Not always easy, I know, but better to look around and try to make better things happen!
You are not alone.
How come?
