Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

I've only been here for six months

I started in June, and I don’t think many people are newer than me. If they decide to lay off the people who’ve been here the shortest, I’m pretty sure I'm done for. Is that how layoffs usually work at Cargill? Is it last in, first out, or something else? Basically, how sc--wed am I?

Time served doesn't seem to matter. We have had some people let go that have been here 10+ years and some less than 6 months. From what I can tell so far, they haven't a fu--ing clue what they are doing. Most of the names I've heard are VERY high performers.

You’ll get a minimum base severance, so I’d bet you get 4-6 weeks of pay, plus COBRA $, etc.

I doubt it! People on here have been saying that usually the first ones to go are the seniors, because they're more expensive
