Everything can be manipulated by bad mgmt in Q. Good can be manipulated to bad, strong can be manipulated to nothing. Met a toxic mgmt before he never came to office but he can manipulate you out no matter how much creative work you have done and other ppl have seen. In Q the only fair metric to layoff in attendance in last three or four years. That is also a good metric to show if you care about work. What you have accomplished in work and performance so on so forth can all be manipulated by bad mouths.
It makes it harder for garbage mgmt to steal your work if you don't come into the office.
I didn’t see anyone at Q who recline to go to office have any commitment to work or team. Those ppl played too much to get others good out in previous layoffs. These ppl should let go immediately without thinking, not layoff should let them resign.
work from home does not impact productivity; lack of commitment does. There are scores of people who bring their a55e5 to office and do nothing but procrastinate and there are those who are actually able to focus better because they don't have to stress about commute during rush hours, or they are closer to families etc. I am pro WFH.
