Only as a contractor or if you crawl back into an office beware you likely to still get chopped.

I seriously doubt it considering the way I was shown the door in my 'RIF Moment'.

One interesting note: My job is now posted via Fiserv career page and confirmation with a 3rd party recruiter who cold called me about a job. After talking to the recruiter we both came to conclusion, with no surprise, that it was my old job. The reporting structure of who the manager is was not hard to obtain.

So much for business decision and costs.

No. Unless your entire team was not eliminated and someone quits on your old team and there’s an urgent need to fill the role.

You can always apply to open positions though at Fiserv. I’ve seen quite a few get RIF’ed then come back in a different role.

Were you let go and wondering if you can get your job back?

Are you remote and wondering if you will be "called back" to an office?

Are you a customer and are waiting for Fiserv to return your call?

No. A RIF is permanent unlike a layoff which can be temporary when business improves like the airlines, etc. during COVID.
