RTO is used primarily as the attrition tactics. If rumors are true, RTO people will also be heavily impacted by layoffs under all kinds of excuses. Who is the first to go when work conditions are designed to be bad? Those who can easily find comparable or better jobs elsewhere. But I guess QC can’t care less about keeping talent onboard.

I disagree. Qualcommers are highly overqualified to be employed anywhere else
3 things to remember, even at Q:
- Your job isn’t your life
- Your colleagues aren’t your friends
- You are replaceable
Most folks in Q can’t find jobs outside, those folks have no idea what outside world is growing.
What country does CA live in, the globalization that we've known is dying. Get used to it.
Talent??? Is there any one remaining called talented??? Talented recognized fall down and already left long ago. Here are left those who don’t want to work and can’t be hired somewhere else. If you feel your self talented, just try outside interviews once and you will be surprised how world have move forward and you no longer needed there.
CA said : “In this globalized world, anyone can be replaced, including me…”
Another reason why wall st has no faith in qcom. Once top talent gets fed-up and runs for the exits, Qualcomm will literately be a ship of fools-- those who can't find a job elsewhere.
Amazon is doing the same. Honestly I think that I layoff is way more effective in reducing costs. That’s the serious risk that many more parole than expected are impacted and also the best employers are leaving.
Layoff half of ppl including many vps and even the cxos won’t affect business in Q. So Those who were mentioned bad here should all go, those who were not at office for 4 days a week in last three years should all go.
