Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I'm not grateful to have a job

I wish people would stop telling me that I should be. There's nothing to be grateful for. Horrible pay, horrible benefits, horrible culture, all mixed in with being constantly overworked. I stand behind something I said once before: people who were laid off are the lucky ones!

I know plenty of people including myself, who left for lower paying jobs, jobs in different industries, or without a job. Guess what? NO ONE is wishing to come back. In fact the general consensus is we couldn’t be paid enough to come back and work in Frank’s organization. Get out. Your mental and emotional health will thank you.

Listen it stinks and it hard to be a survivor living in this environment I know been there. We have been in this situation 2007- 09 recession, 2012 downturn several down turns over the prior decades. Listen it's not easy to find a new job today look at the linkedin comments. If you find a job expect to relocate and be in the office 5 days a week, its old school ball. There might be exceptions if your highly talented or have connections for what I see most of those folks have left or retired. Sorry about the wake-up call Fiserv is not going to change just because you wish it was so, keep that mindset and the world will pass you by.

Good luck, get tough of out you're taking the slot of someone who may need the job for medical care, family.
