Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

It's unbelievable how much things have changed in five years

When I first joined, the job felt great, but over time, things started to spiral. The culture shifted, managers got harsher, and workloads exploded. Now, it barely resembles the place I signed up for, and people are bailing left and right. I can certainly understand why. It’s tough sticking around when everything’s gone downhill so fast.

Not just a Dell thing. Leverage has shifted in the job market. Employers, like most humans, are only nice when they have to be - a la the Great Employee Buttkissing of 2021-22.
Will swing back to this in a year or so. Rinse, lather, repeat.

I am still at Dell and yes things have changed in not so good ways over the years BUT we all saw things coming and people in the US or countries that have low laws for workforce and dont organize themselves in unions why are you all so dramatic and dont get your . up and do something against it? instead complaining here about the corporate job.. come on, its a a stock traded company, and they are all doing the same these times with layoffs / RTO whatever in countries where they can because they see that they can and its cheaper than planning and building a good workforce. Speak up, organize, unionize, this is why so many other countries laugh about this BS here

You become a spectator to your own chaos like watching a storm from the safety of a Mountain top.Change is the only constant.

Seems things may pick up next year so there will be more opportunity outside of Dell. If you can make it to bonus time, if there is one, and then make a move.
