Unions CAN control forced AI by skimpily writing it into the Union contract.
Andy Jassy went to Harvard but largely due to his father’s influence from a well-known law firm at the time. His family was rich, unlike Bezos and Jobs who are true rags to riches stories, Jassy had everything handed to him. He was an MBA grad not an engineer also unlike Bezos. He was a PM at amazon. He’s like any other PM that plays politics and goes to meetings everyday, only difference is his manager was Bezos.
It's mostly RTO and stagnant pay.
And amazon invests more and more on robotic and automation :).
When Amazon employees finally figure out they must become Union in order to have rights and good pay their lives will change but for now they are just walking in unorganized circles. Solidarity solves that.
With the airline strikes in Charlotte,N.C. jamming up air travel it is bad timing to deal with gift ordering also. Maybe a good year to just stay at home and shop local for a change.
It's RTO and pay freezes.
NBC news has article USA and 20 countries striking Amazon employees on Black Friday weekend.
