Are there changes coming to the hybrid work policy, if so when and what are they

“ No one checks this stuff”.
Wrong! Depends on the org as to whether it’s questioned, but definitely checked.
Thats the problem - nothing is consistent which is why some people think things are happening and others don’t. Well, it’s happening somewhere to someone so whats stopping them from rolling out the plans to everyone? Nothing. Already precedent there.

Are they handing out perfect attendance certificates at the end of each quarter? Just like when we were kids? That's basically how they are treating people...
“ What the number of days in the office for the blue, green, yellow, red classification for onsite visits?”
Doesn’t matter. If you do anything less than 40 (blue) you get out in a list. 39 is green but anyone green is looking at. If you meet 35 days your green, but have to justify why you don’t meet 39. 39 green. You still get looked at. 40 you’re good.
What the number of days in the office for the blue, green, yellow, red classification for onsite visits?
I think blue is 40+ in the quarter but not sure about the rest.
‘ Didn't MD say the reason was leaders aren't developing remotely, and leaders of the future are no where to be seen. ’
If this is true, this is very sad. I had a leader who was the best I’ve ever had in my career at Dell who was remote. You couldn’t ask for a better leader. I mean she really understood the team and truly cared, and we were so connected. Now everyone is just miserable and not even talking to each other. Demotivated. I personally think it’s a bad way to look at things. It doesn’t apply across the board. Maybe sometimes I can see that, but I’m just saying - we lost a good one probably to this d-mb thinking.
Didn't MD say the reason was leaders aren't developing remotely, and leaders of the future are no where to be seen. He has a point, but 5 days in the office is ridiculous, going back to how it was pre-2018, back then a lot where already remote and many true hybrid of 3 days in the office, the guy either is clueless at what his business was doing back then or gaslighting us all.
Time for these old men to step aside they need to look closer to home to why Dell is falling behind and stop blaming those that actual do the work.
My leadership already said hybrid is now 5 days a week. We just continue to re define words in this culture with no consequences. Why does hybrid not mean hybrid anymore at Dell? - Because they can.
January seems to be a lovely month to start something new.
@cnb+1vHdH3yX, i live just over an hour away, I am remote and no one has asked this of me yet. I am also trying like he-l to leave. It's so toxic even the remote workers are chocking on the fumes of all the bs.
New hybrid policy is 5 days in office & 2 days remote…preferrably Sat/sun
@cnb+1vHdH3yX What roles are these people in that are being asked to go full time office? Managers, ICs?
Certain people living in surrounding round rock areas who are hybrid have been asked to go full return to office. Somethings brewing (per usual)
Revenues are poor and guidance looks dismal.
Stock is doing a free fall and will be under $100 soon.
So you know the execs will take it out on the employees somehow.
Hmmm..let me consult my crystal ball. If it hasn't been announced, how would we know.
