Zepbound is not a GLP for diabetics so the above comment is rubbish. It’s literally approved for weight loss dummy.

Buy compounded for like $200-$300 a month out of pocket. It's easy. Or do what I did because I didn't want to depend on meds indefinitely and pay for an esg procedure out of pocket.

  1. thank you for the opinion. it's not really applicable to this board, though.
  1. UHG does cover GLP1s when it's on-label prescription. they're designed for diabetes. when it's prescribed for diabetes, and with some explanation, the meds are covered. my brother is on it and it's paid for. but UHG does NOT cover off-label prescription, which is what, I suspect, you're referring to. weight loss is a side effect, but since it's a positive one, practitioners are prescribing it as weight loss medicine. since it's off-label (not what the dr-g is actually designed to do), and it's immensely expensive, it's not covered.
  1. all of that is available on Google or your favorite AI platform for explanation.
