If I get a stroke does the company pay out so at least my wife gets something?

Depends on if you die or not. Life insurance is 1x your salary, or 1.5x your salary.
If you survive, then you can expect to pay max out of pocket for this year and next year.
Not worth the risk. Better to take care of your health.
Leave before then. You’ll be more happy being elsewhere and living. Health first, Frank last.
