Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

It’s disgusting how this has been handled.

I’m sorry everyone is having to deal with this anxiety and stress for the past four months. Masterclass in incompetence. Critical financial operating benchmarks while producing a terrible working environment due to the fear of termination. The executive team should be ashamed of themselves.

It’s like the new behavior “act like an owner” except no owner is sitting around waiting to be disowned……

Put people first, but make them wait around for 4 months to see if they belong.

It’s going to take the culture a long time to recover from this. It’s sad how just a few new leaders have helped completely decimate the culture (HR and IT). When all is said and done though, Brian won’t be able to blame anyone but himself since these were his picks and has been in a position to influence big change for a long time.

I believe job band 7 and below were involved. Could be incorrect.

Heard from a reliable source the only reason we know anything is because the news was going to be leaked and that's why the email came out when it did, prematurely.

Does anyone trust the leaders after this debacle?

Maybe they did it this way hoping that the terrible work environment would make people start looking for jobs and leave the company.

As typical, Cargill is a day late, and dollar short!

This change should have happened 1-2 years ago, but they got punch drunk on Covid returns. Now they’ll over correct one way and then swing back again shortly down the road.

All the while, same leaders are there, guiding us ahead.

Also, the "substantial performance below budget" was the 4th? highest grossing year ever. It's like they just hoped beyond hope that the 2021-2022 margins would last forever.
