Buying Intel people is like su----e to any company. Intel has the least competent people in the world.
Good way for QCOM to get press without spending money.
They sobered up.
I always thought that rumor was ridiculous.
Intel has very little value to another semi firm.
I have no idea what QCOM was thinking.
They know 0 about fabs or datacenters. If they want DCG then just go for that, although AMD is a better contender.
Seems time for the 2 x86 vendors to merge, before ARM takes so much market share that AMD is pulled down alongside Intel.
Kind of expecting the government to force an x86 merger for national security reasons. It is an old architecture but with a LOT of installed base.
I suspect PG and the Board have been racing to get the product divisions closer to being competitive, partly with the anticipation that they will be spun off or merged.
I have no idea why Intel does not want to sell whatever it can at this moment. Does it still naively think it can survive on its own or it will be in better shape in the future?
