@1gtb good points with some flaws to reasoning.
Reviews may or may not be good predictor. Esp. for two consecutive years. Need to have novelty to keep some surprise. Alternatively like you said, they may have provided telltale sign to subgroup of emloyees and not all of us.
Activists can put pressure but G will not budge unless necessary. Company does not need excuse for layoff. Numbers give clear picture and justification.
@1obd that's not correct. There were telltale signals: the performance reviews of the previous cycle were pointing in the direction of collecting evidence for justifying eventual redundancy.
Also that minority shareholder who paved the way for reorg fiscal optimisation and gave sundar excuse to get rid of people.
