Leaders, Stop Eating on Video

Leaders, please stop eating on video. It is disgusting to watch you eat on video. Turn your camera off. No one wants to watch you eat.

Next time you have a meeting scheduled with them, come prepared. Get yourself a big bag of the absolute most crunchiest kettle chips, and have fun with it. The name of the game is feigned innocence. You're going to mirror their disgusting behavior, while pretending that it's perfectly normal to do so.

Stare intently directly into the camera, while occasionally nodding your head faux-interestedly, while taking a longer than necessary time to open your bag of kettle chips. Make as much noise as possible handling the bag, holding it within camera view, while pretending to struggle with it, and finally using your teeth to get it open.

Nod your head in agreement with whatever the Master Eater Leader is saying, while crunchcrunchcrunching your kettle chips extremely loudly. Crunch with your mouth open. Glug away at a Big Gulp, for good measure, being sure to end each gulp with a satisfied, "Ahhhhh!" Extra points for "sp-t-taking" withing camera view when Master Eater Leader's salient points are spoken. Speak with your mouth full, and continue stuffing your face with loud, crunchy kettle chips, as crumbs accumulate onto your shirt. Don't brush'em off. Just let 'em sit there. When Master Eater Leader starts wrapping-up the meeting and asks if there are any questions, just burp long loud and hard...then smile and say, "Have a nice day!"

Then immediately click out of the meeting.

These leaders are so busy going from one call to another self promoting, they have no sense and place for mannerisms. They could as well be having s1x (e for 1) and wouldn’t know the difference. Pathetic.

One of my managers used to insist on mics unmuted and cameras always on. So, we just disabled noise cancellation so everyone hears ear splitting clinks of silverware on china every few seconds. Still wasn't enough. After a particularly amusing week of one of our colleagues slurping osso buco from the bone (bone marrow) and another balut (boiled semi-gestated duck embryo or proto-fetus) that policy ended.

Gawd, really ... like they're sooooo busy - back to back meetings promoting their own profound greatness.

My RM believes he has right to eat on video during 1:1s and commit calls. It is nauseating to see. Is it ok to ask my RM to not eat on video. Would there be any repercussions from doing that.
