Laying people off even with severance is cold during the Holidays. Most of those laid off won't get any serious offers and interviews till mid/end January.
Heads up life does exist after NetApp.

Was there another layoff recently?
Yeah, wasn't fun and not having a job creates some stress but I have to at least give them credit, it's not as stressful as it could have been as I have pay & benefits until the end of the year and then a pretty nice severance check, combined with the ESPP next week and the cash out of vacation, I'm in pretty good shape until May or so.
I hope that other affected folks are in a similar position.
