Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

More lies

After our All Hands all - Matt Wilcox

Wow what an interesting call. I can’t tell if Matt was uncomfortable with the content or not. One topic that was discussed was the recent layoffs. I personally was surprised to be told that these changes were due to performance and not a financial decision as that was what was told to the people they laid off.

Interesting difference in what staff was told prior to the Matt meeting.

I did see the video and Matt made clear if your lunch is in the building then that time is included. Just make a meeting with several people for lunch.

They forced people into early retirement and trust me the ones let go were not low performers actually quite the opposite!

: @lmh+1vGmTIlf - regardless of your understanding of how the people would let go, the people that were laid off were told that it was due to cost/business decision. The leadership of my team told us that it was a cost effective move and nothing about performance I specifically asked what the determining factors were for the layoff.

Our company lies to us. It’s better for you to get on board and keep lying to yourself.

Tell the truth on an all-hand call that the company is laying off people because it is financially distressed? Stock reset next day!! Frank is selling all us off to the devil for his grand payday.

Upon being RIF'd, I was told that it was a business/cost decision. Nothing about performance. I was well aware that I was not viewed as a low performer.

Also - sounds like the call with Matt W was a real blast. Sorry I had to miss it.

Disagree. I know of several who were let go that were already flailing without.

My understanding is the latest RIF round was not about cost reduction or shrinking headcount. It was performance related in most cases.

The leadership in this company are pros at gaslighted. Maybe not at first, but eventually the company (FB) mindset wears them down. Learned there is not many with moral compasses or empathy left....be careful who to trust...sad when you have to watch your back like this...

But for real though. Can you volunteer for the RIF?

Can we volunteer for a RIF?

He actually tried to answer this as a legit question, but it was truly a slap in the face.

Can you detect when a Fiserv C-suite level person lies? Any time their lips move to speak!!

I think Matt had a reputation as being trustworthy and someone that cared and looked out for his team. I think he threw most or all of that reputation away today. Hard to trust what he has to say going forward.

Matt was getting hammered on that call and the Slido was brutal. One of the members that was "retiring" had said he was let go, so major discrepancies in all this.
