No one really talks about this since all are departments have always been so siloed. I am assuming, and l may be wrong, that the reason there hasn’t been any layoffs is because of the amount of attrition going on. I am wondering how much attrition has occurred in the last month? I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Obviously not enough! Just laid off! Not surprised but still sad. I did work with really great team member that will miss. I wish 2U well but the ship is definitely sinking.

Appreciate you responding to post however, seriously ? Go out on FMLA? That is not an easy thing to do and has to be certified by a doctor. Same with accommodations. So I guess the answer is to do your job , don’t slack off. And you won’t end up being fired, without severance.
They’ve hit their layoff quota and are now doing forced attrition through performance reviews. Hearing it’s about 15% across most teams. Expect lots of “Partially Met Expectations,” PIPs, and firings without severance. If you get slapped with a PIP, either go on FMLA and start job hunting or request accommodations to drag it out. They won’t fire you while you’re in a protected status, so use that time to plan your next move.
