Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Can we get rid of HR?

Or at least replace everybody with people who know how to do their work? The current lot are slow to respond, constantly give wrong info, and seem totally out of their depth. It’s like they’re in a competition to see how unhelpful they can be. I've been trying to get something sorted, but it feels like I'm hitting a brick wall every time.

HR should self assess. If you sit in a meeting with the Engineers and you don't contribute except to say a couple of words to feel like youre contributing, then just leave.

HR only exists to reduce the number of lawsuits brought by employees.
They are now there to help the employees that's for sure.

HR is and has always been useless and a total waste of money. The entire function should be eliminated.
